FCC participates in the Spain-Brazil Business Investment and Partnership Forum in São Paulo
Vicente Mohedado, Deputy Managing Director of FCC Construcción for Latin America, spoke about FCC and the company’s considerable experience in the field of maritime works.
The meeting involved 50 Spanish companies, including FCC, and more than 150 Brazilian firms.
The aim of this forum, which is supported by the economic and business departments of the Spanish Embassy in São Paulo and Brasilia, is to facilitate the identification of business investment and partnership opportunities and potential partners for the Brazilian market.
The 50 Spanish firms participating in the forum came from sectors considered as having priority in terms of the opportunities that are currently available in the Brazilian market: architecture and construction, engineering and infrastructure, industrial machinery and services, and ICT.
According to data from the World Bank, Brazil is the sixth largest economy in the world, accounting for half the GDP of Latin America, with growth forecasts of 2.4% and 3% for 2013 and 2014, respectively. Its political and economic stability is based on the macroeconomic reforms undertaken to defend a market economy and on the government’s commitment to improve basic infrastructure.
