Works completed at the GALP refinery in Sines
This contract, undertaken under a joint venture with FCC Industrial, was originally budgeted at nearly €14 million but, following the addition of supplementary works, finally reached €28 million.
The works consisted of building reinforced-concrete foundations for the static equipment and racks and the main and secondary technical galleries for the installation of the network of electrical and instrumentation tubing. In addition, reinforced-concrete and asphalt paving was laid and several auxiliary buildings were built.
The main materials used were concrete (46,000 m3), steel (3,000 t) and anchors/supports (lead plates and plaques) (176 tonnes).
